Finally!!!

Yes, I finally got my braces off. I had my second stage of braces on for 4 years and the expectancie was 2 years (never believe what the othodontist says). I was waiting for this moment for a long time. It definitely feel different and a little slimy. But I now have a retainer and that feels even more different, because I have something at top of my mouth. Since I have four missing teeth, two in the front, I hope to get implants when I am 18:)

First Date

I turned 16 on April 7 and a week before my birthday a guy asked me out on a date. Of course I said yes. And he told me that we were going to go to Silver Creek Falls with his sister and her date. His name is Brenden Perez. He is in my sister's ward, so I've known him for awhile. Overall it was a really fun experience. The hike took about 2 hours. After that we had a subway picnic with some oranges and cookies, and then Brenden and I painted one of the waterfalls. We both have never painted on a canvas, so it was a fun experience. During the hike, him and I were both taking a lot of pictures, and his sister was kind of tired of stopping every 5 seconds, so she decided to go ahead of us and meet us at the next falls. Well we get there and of course they're not there. So we just go ahead and see if there at the next falls. We didn't find them until we headed back. We were alone most of the time. We had so many things to talk about. We talked about so many things that at one point we thought we ran out of things to say:)He is the sweetest boy. He let me go first for everything, he always kept eye contact, and he put a flower in my hair, and he was always listening and trying his hardest to keep his schedule on track. There will definitely be a next date, and I'm planning it:)

GIRLS CAMP!!!

For Girls Camp this year, our theme was "there's no place like Home", from the wizard of Oz. so in the second weak of August, the whole week was focused on how we can get back home to our Heavenly Father by living gospel principles. That whole weak was amazing. My friends and I had a blast together, playing ultimite frisbee hoola hooping, stuffing our faces with the BEST food, getting hurt and of course getting drenched by the rain that we had most of that week. speaking of the rain, since I was a fourth year we all had to sleep outside in tents. and the fist night we came back from our 6 mile fourth year hike it started to pour rain, at one point the tents started leaking and we had to move all of our stuff up to the lodge where we ate and slept in there that night, thinking it was only going to last one night, but unfortunately in rained till thursday and so we got to sleep in the lodge for the rest of the week, it was wonderful. The fourth year hike was not the best experiance but it was fun. the Testimonie meening was very spiritual and I loved feeling the spirit just siting there listening to testimonie and bearing mine, Girls Camp is a wonderful experiance and I can't wait to be a YCL next year (Youth Camp Laeder) :)

Camping, Camping, and more Camping

My best friend Shelly invited me to go camping with her family at Indian Henry for a week, and I had the most amazing camping experiance. I learned and played soooo many card games and having s'mores by the campfire, looking up at the amazing stars, we could see them so well that we could also see the milky way. I also jumped into the freezing cold clackamas river. the jump was about 10 feet high and the water was about 20 feet deep and I jumped of that 10 foot rock Ten times. Shelly and I shared the same tent and we had a blast just hanging out together. I really learned that I Looooooove camping and I really want to go next year :)
